I'll take this opportunity to share some exciting personal news. This announcement just went out to the congregation of San Clemente Presbyterian Church.
News from our IPNC...
SCPC Family, In late May, Session established an Interim Pastor Nominating Committee (IPNC) to search for a candidate to serve as our Pastor/Head of Staff for the interim period until a Pastor Nominating Committee (PNC) can be formed to search for and call a new Sr. Pastor/ Head of Staff. On Tuesday, July 25th, Session approved our recommendation to call Dr. Neal Nybo as our Interim Pastor, pending Los Ranchos Committee on Ministry’s approval. For the past 10 years Neal has served at Rancho Bernardo Community Presbyterian Church as their Executive Pastor. Two years ago, their Sr. Pastor announced his retirement and Neal lead the transition team until their new PHOS was called. Prior to RBCPC he served at Solana Beach Presbyterian. Pastor Neal’s first day will be Monday, August 7th, his first sermon will be Sunday, August 13th. We are excited about the energy, team oriented nature and interim pastor experience Neal will bring to SCPC. Further communication is being planned including a reception to allow you all to meet Pastor Neal. Details will be communicated once finalized.
